Col. Ing. Jiří Němčík has been working for the Fire Rescue Brigade of the Moravian-Silesian Region in various positions for more than 25 years. He currently holds the position of deputy director for the IZS and operational management department. He has also been involved in international rescue assistance for 15 years, working both in the preparatory phase of foreign rescue teams as a trainer or member of the management of the organization of international exercises and in the position of commander of special teams for the search and rescue of people from collapsed buildings (USAR), for the search and rescue of people on the surface of water using boats (WASAR) or high-capacity pumping (HCP). He was at the head of the HCP deployment during the floods in Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2014, during the USAR deployment in Turkey this year, or in the position of intervention commander in the final 10 days of the fire in Hřensko last year.
