Rey Koranteng was born in Prague. He studied political science and international relations at CEVRO Institute. While still in high school, he devoted himself to meteorology, which eventually brought him to TV Nova in 1994, where he earned the role of weathercaster. Three years later, he became the moderator of the main news program Televízní noviny, with Lucía Borhyová, with whom, except for her maternity breaks, he still moderates today. In addition, he also hosts the journalistic program Víkend. In recent years, viewers could also see him as a moderator of important political debates, primarily in the pre-election period. He is married and has three daughters.
