Blanka Havelková is a member of the top management of Czech Railways. As deputy to the general director for human resources, she deals primarily with the personnel agenda. She has many years of experience with human resources. She studied pedagogy at the Faculty of Arts of Charles University in Prague. During her studies, she worked for the Pedagogical Research Institute in Prague, where she oversaw European social funds and the personal social development of children at school. Since then, her professional life has been linked to Czech Railways, whose personnel department she joined in 2008 with a focus on employee training. Eight years ago, she became the chair of the board of the Transport Education Institute (DVI), a subsidiary of Czech Railways. Two years ago, she became the first woman elected to the board of directors of Czech Railways.
